Welcome to aMaldives. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of amaldives.com (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About the Site

aMaldives is an independent travel information website. We publish resort reviews, atoll guides, trip-planning articles and other content related to travel in the Maldives. We are not a travel agent, tour operator or booking platform. All bookings are made directly with third-party providers.

2. No travel advice or professional advice

Content on the Site is provided for general information only and does not constitute professional travel, legal, medical or financial advice. Travel conditions (prices, availability, resort facilities, transfer times, visa requirements, weather, health and safety) change frequently. Always verify critical information directly with the resort, airline or relevant official authority before booking or travelling.

3. Third-party bookings and affiliate links

The Site contains links to third-party booking platforms and service providers. Where we earn a commission for qualifying bookings we disclose this in our affiliate disclosure. When you click an outbound link you leave aMaldives and are subject to the terms and privacy policy of that third party. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, availability, booking processes or services of any third party.

4. Intellectual property

All original content on the Site — including text, layout, graphics, logos and compiled data — is owned by aMaldives or its contributors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Republishing, scraping, training machine-learning models, or commercial reuse of our content without written permission is not permitted.

Resort photography and third-party logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used for editorial and identification purposes. If you are a rights holder and wish to request a correction or removal, email hello@amaldives.com.

5. User-submitted content

If you send us comments, suggestions, reviews or other material, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and publish that material on the Site. You are responsible for ensuring anything you submit is accurate, lawful and does not infringe the rights of others.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
• Scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically copy content from the Site except for standard search-engine indexing;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers or related infrastructure;
• Interfere with, disrupt or impose an unreasonable load on the Site;
• Submit content that is defamatory, misleading, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful.

Resort prices, room types, star ratings, transfer times and other details are indicative only and can change without notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, aMaldives and its operators, contributors and partners will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, including any bookings you make with third parties after following a link from the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

9. External links

The Site may link to external websites that we do not control. We include such links for your convenience but do not endorse their content or practices and are not responsible for them.

10. Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may update, change or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also amend these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia, without limiting your rights under mandatory local consumer law.
